Gravity, significant weight loss and pregnancy are some conditions that cause a woman’s breasts to droop or sag. The breast tissue seemingly sinks to the lower portion of the breast, leaving the upper part (décolletage) empty. As such, the nipple position becomes too low. Breast lift, or mastopexy, redistributes and resuspends the breast tissue to restore the original shape of the breasts. A breast implant can also be inserted to add volume to the breast, if needed.
Plastic Surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and takes about 3-4 hours. There will be surgical drains that are removed after 1-2 days. Postoperative hospital stay is required for 1-2 days and sutures are removed after 1-2 weeks.
You should be able to return to work after 1-2 weeks. You will need to wear a post-surgical support bra round the clock for recovery.
With Dr Sng’s passion and commitment, we strive to provide patients with a highly personalized, transparent, effective and comfortable experience from the first time you step in our clinic to full recovery.
